VIRGINIA FOWLER
Biography Virginia Fowler teaches courses in African-American Literature at Virginia Tech, with a special emphasis on African-American women writers. She has recently published Henry James' American Girl (1984), Nikki Giovanni (1992) and Gloria Naylor: In Search of Sanctuary (1996) and is currently at work on projects about Zora Neale Hurston and Gwendolyn Brooks.
